Environmental Microbes for Remediation

SEPCOR BIOSEP

SEPCOR Biosep operates by cleaving long chain hydrocarbons into shorter chains until the hazardous material is rendered intert into simple carbon species, CO2   and water. It will also cleave the halide atom away from the organic portion of molecules rendering PCB’s, Dioxins and Insecticides inert.

BIOREMEDIATION APPLICATIONS

  • Alkanes (Gasoline, Diesel, Fuel Oil, etc.)
  • Chlorinated Hydrocarbons (Trichloroethylene & PCB's, etc.)
  • Aromatics and Polyaromatics (Toluene, Xylene, Naphthalene, etc.)
  • Ketones (Methyl Isobutyl Ketone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, etc.)
  • Alcohols (Isopropanol, Isobutanol, Ethyl Alcohol, etc.)
  • Explosive Wastes (Nitrate Compounds)
  • Pesticides
  • Soil And Water Contamination Associated With Pipeline Spills
  • Oil Film And Sludge Associated With Evaporation And Settling Ponds
  • Contaminated Cuttings Associated With Oil Based Mud Systems

SEPCOR CRYSTASEP™ uses naturally occurring microbes to degrade components in food processing, textile, pulp, paper, wood processing, municipal waste treatment systems, and septic tank wastewater. SEPCOR CRYSTASEP™ uses specifically adapted microbes for specific types of wastewater. These microbes are all non-pathogenic and will not harm plants or animals.

HALOSEP™ MICROBIAL ION EXCHANGE

The species present in SEPCOR Halosep™ also can perform ion exchange with calcium to bring soil back to a productive state where plants can once again thrive. Salt spills can be rernediated using salt tolerant, halophilic microbes capable of cleaving the sodium off the sodium chloride molecule and ion exchanging with calcium to form calcium chloride which is tolerated much well by plants. Powdered dolomite, calcium magnesium carbonate, is a cheap readily available source of calcium for this process. Salt rernediation occurs best where the soil temperature is 50 F or greater.
